Heyyyy! I’m Brook and your LUUWHC Club Captain this season. I’m going into my 4th and final year at Leeds Uni studying Natural Sciences. We are so proud to be the biggest and best society at Leeds University with 8 BUCS teams and over 350 members. Our club has something for everyone so come along and get involved this season. Joining LUUWHC was the best decision I ever made and I can guarantee you won’t regret being a member of our club!

Hi guys, I’m Alice and I’m your new transport gen sec for this year. I’m going into my 3rd year of LUUWHC (and of lesser importance, psychology), and can often be found in terrace, fruity or on a Wednesday social- trust me they’re not to be missed. This year I’ll be organising your transport for Wednesday and Saturday matches, as well as being a helping hand for Brook. It’s me again, I’m back and happier than ever to be your new Gen Sec (Fixtures). I’m going into my third and final year of Mathematics here at Leeds. Despite my own position as the worst Goal keeper the 8’s has ever seen (never getting nomad again) I’m here to ensure LUUWHC have their best year ever!!
My jobs involve organising matches, liaising with the leagues, hunting for umpires and playing for the best team in the club.

Hello everyone, I’m Tingle and I’m going to be the Treasurer of LUUWHC for the 2019/20 season! I’m going into my final year studying Economics and Finance and my role will be to ensure the smooth running of the club’s finances. This means making sure your money is being used in the best possible way to support the club and make your LUUWHC experience the best it can be! Joining LUUWHC has genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve made at university. If you want to play a great standard of hockey, and make memories with an amazing group of people, you won’t regret deciding to be a part of it!

Shallom all, my name is Caitlin but also go by the name Sue and i am your 1s/2s social sec. I joined hockey not just because of the sport itself but also the social aspects with accompany it. Being part of such a big club means that you make so many friends and meet lots of new people which I was most afraid of when joining university. As a hockey fresher, I have had the best time year of my life; dressing up for Wednesday socials and partaking in the various charity fundraisers have made the first year of uni an unforgettable experience and widely encourage others to join. I’m back from my year out on placement in London, and am hoping to help the 1s get promoted back into the BUCS Northern 1B in my final year at Leeds. Hi I’m Claire, captain of the LUUWHC 2ndXI. I am in my second year of being a member of the amazing Leeds university hockey club! I decided to go for captain this year as I wanted to give back to the club and have a position of responsibility. One of the things I love about the club is that we do more than just hockey, we do way more. We are genuinely all very good friends that spend a lot of time together, whether that’s on legendary Wednesday socials, getting a little dressed up for once at our annual ball or participating in charity events like the half marathon. My job is more than just motivating my team on the pitch, it’s to ensure we maintain the amazing competitive, active and charitable reputation the club has.

When I’m not typing my entire course into google translate, you’ll find me having the time of my life in fruity, or trying to down a pint (it’s a marathon not a sprint in my case). Joining hockey has been one of the best decisions I’ve made as I’ve met some banging people and made some cracking memories, can’t wait for you all to experience this as well!! Xxx

Hey guys, I’m Fem captain of the 6’s. I am currently going into my second year studying graphic design (which means I have almost no work) so in my spare time you will find me on the hockey pitch or in terrace with all the hockey girls. My 1st year would not have been the same without hockey and although its cheesy you really do make mates for life here, the 6’s are a great place to play some serious hockey if you just want to be more of a social member there is a place for everyone so don’t feel disheartened if you get put in the 6’s we are very competitive, hope to see you at trials x

Hey guys, I’m Allie (sometimes known as Bev) and in order to distract myself from the snooze fest that is a chemistry masters, I’m going to be captain of the #edgyeights this year! When I’m not bonding molecules you’ll find me bonding with my teammates and best friends both on the pitch and off it (in terrace). As usual our goal for this year is to win a game (or at the very least not to lose 46-0 again)! So if you want to get some exercise and gain new skills (lol) as well as make friends for life on our legendary Wednesday socials, make the right choice and join the 8s!
