1st XI
Our 1st Team are performance idols; they are superhuman. The 1s have had some great experiences in the BUCS Northern B over the past few years, but just narrowly missed out on staying in the league last year. They’ll be looking to perform to the best of their ability in the North 1A and push themselves to gain promotion back into BUCS B! On Saturdays, our 1s finished a respectable 9th in North Premier Division after gaining promotion last year, they will be looking to climb the table next year with the help of coach Daniel Mills.
2nd XI
Our 2nd Team were promoted into the BUCS Northern 1A League in 2016/17 but unfortunately were unable to remain in the league last year. Also after a tough battle in the North league they have been relegated to the Yorkshire Premier League, where they will face the 3rd Team. Will this LUUWHC derby give them fuel to gain promotion back into the North League? Only time will tell!
3rd XI
What a season our 3rd Team had! Not only have they shown great prowess on the pitch but also off the pitch winning the LUUWHC Olympics, a highly coveted title. Alongside being the club’s legend leaderboard winners 2 years in a row now. They secured their place in the Yorkshire Premier division coming 9th. But their highlight of the year was winning promotion in their BUCS league going up into the Northern 2B, where they will face the 2nd team… again.
4th XI
Our 4th team, also known to the club as the Fantastic Fours were one of the most consistent teams last year. They came 4th in the BUCS Northern 4B league and were crowned the Northern Conference Plate winners 2017/18 after beating Leeds Beckett in penalty strokes #unay. In their Yorkshire league they finished a strong 5th. With such a fantastic season last year they are most definitely a team to watch out for!
5th XI
Our 5th team had a very steady season last year. They placed 6th in the their BUCS league and 4th in their Yorkshire league. The Mighty fives not only show their excellence on the pitch but also were one of our the most charitable teams, coming 2nd in the Legends Leaderboard last year. Are they the team to put an end to the 3s reign over the legend Leaderboard?
6th XI
Our 6th Team never fail to work hard, and they’ve had a strong couple seasons in both BUCS and the Yorkshire League! They placed 4th in their BUCS league and 5th in the Yorkshire League. Currently they play in the same league as the 5s and give them a good run for their money! But who will come out on top next year?
7th XI
Our 7th Team have jumped leaps and bounds since starting as a Development Squad in 2012! 4 years have gone by, and they’ve made themselves proud with their go-to attitude. They were very strong in their Yorkshire league and in BUCS they placed 3rd! Their consistency with attendance and effort is never one to miss, and we can’t wait to see how they perform this year!
8th XI
The 8th Team are a presence in the club! They continue to work hard week in, week out. Their team spirit is above and beyond, and it’s an absolute pleasure to have their attitude resounding throughout the club. The 8s are hoping to to improve upon everything they have learnt up until now, and we’re excited to see what’s to come!
