FRESHER TRIALS

Do I need to attend both days?

No – just the one day

Where are trials?

Weetwood playing fields

How do I get there?

Take the No.1 or No.6 bus towards ‘Holt Park’ for £1.20 with your student card! Ask the driver to stop at Weetwood Hall, cross the road and you’ll find a bunch of smiley hockey girls to lead you on.

What does trials entail?

Trials are run by the 1-3s players. It involves a quick warm up with and without a ball. You will then be split up based on experience and will participate in some drills, followed by a game at the end. It is as easy as that!

Will I get onto a team?

YES- we don’t turn anybody away. We have 8 teams, and therefore there is a place for everybody who joins!

What do I need to bring?

Trials cost £5 on its own, but we would also like to invite you to our All Day Welcome Social on Saturday 28th September. If you would like to attend this bring £10 with you, this covers trials, a T-shirt, drinks deals and food on the day.

We advise bringing a stick, shinpads, mouthguard and water. However, the club can provide sticks if you do not own one.

What happens if I can’t make either of the days?

That’s okay, we will be holding a give it ago session in October or you can contact our club captain, Ellie Brook and she will point you in the right direction.

For more information pop in and see us at any of the freshers’ fair or you can contact our club captain, Brook at eleanor.brk92@gmail.com or 07530587074.
